Joanna Sood serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Avasa Home since August 2019, having previously held the position of Director of Business Development at Avasa from October 2014 to August 2019. Avasa is recognized as a wholesale home furnishing brand specializing in sustainable, organic fabrics. Earlier experience includes the role of Director of Business Development at At Home, a home textile manufacturer known for progressive design and ethical practices, from August 2013 to January 2015. Joanna's career began at CIGNA Healthcare as Manager of eBusiness, overseeing projects for the online experience program from January 2007 to May 2011. Prior positions include Marketing Project Manager at UnitedHealthcare and Senior Marketing Associate at Oxford Health Plans. Joanna holds a BA in Sociology from the University of Connecticut, earned between 1995 and 1999.
