Shaunna Duffy is an accomplished human resources leader with extensive experience in building and leading HR organizations across various sectors. At Avalara since November 2010, Shaunna has held multiple roles including Global Head of Human Resources, EVP HR, and Chief People Officer (interim), where notable achievements include establishing HR frameworks in 15 offices globally during the company’s transition from startup to public offering. Prior experience includes serving as FVP of Human Resources at Washington Mutual, overseeing HR strategy for 2000 employees, and leading HR functions at Starbucks Coffee Company, where support was provided to 2500 retail partners. Shaunna has also contributed to educational institutions as a board member for multiple schools and earned a Master's degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
