Matthew Barrett is a seasoned data engineer and software professional with extensive experience in data analytics, engineering, and blockchain solutions. Currently serving as a Senior Data Engineer at Availity, Matthew focuses on healthcare solutions utilizing AWS, EMR, Airflow, and Terraform. Prior roles include Lead Software Engineer at Capital One, where Matthew led a team in financial transaction analysis, and Senior Lead Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, overseeing enterprise data analytics platforms. Matthew also contributed to Ethereum blockchain projects and has a background in data science and cloud development. With a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Purdue University, Matthew has also instructed undergraduate mathematics courses.
