Yuquan Xu has been working in the field of computer vision since 2009. Yuquan began their career as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2015, they became a Commissioned Scientist and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Toyota Technological Institute (TTI). During their time at TTI, they developed stereo vision algorithms for challenging environments such as nighttime, tunnel, and white line cases, as well as a localization algorithm using point cloud maps and stereo vision. In 2018, they joined AutoX as a Tech Lead of Perception, where they led the BevNet team to design and deploy 3d detection and segmentation, the traffic light team to design and deploy the traffic light pipeline, and was responsible for the sensor calibration project including camera intrinsic calibration and sensor extrinsic calibration. Yuquan also designed and built the calibration room for the large-scale in-house high accuracy sensor calibration system.
Yuquan Xu obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China.
