Shanima Silva is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in automation, embedded systems, and digital solutions. Currently serving as Digital Solutions Manager at Automate-X since August 2021, Shanima has also held roles as MES & IIoT Lead and Internal IT Lead, and previously worked as a Senior Automation Engineer. Prior to Automate-X, Shanima was a PhD Candidate at The University of Waikato, focusing on surge protection with super capacitors, and served as a Senior Control System Engineer at i Program Control Systems Ltd, where notable achievements included embedded product development and SCADA systems design. As an Embedded Design Consultant and Electrical Engineer, Shanima contributed to various projects involving product development and industrial automation. Academically, Shanima holds a PhD in Power Electronics, an MSc in Embedded Intelligent Systems, a BEng in Digital Communication & Electronics Engineering, and a BTEC HND in Electrical and Electronic with Communication Engineering.
