Olusola Soyemi has extensive experience in the field of data science and technology development. Olusola started their career in 2000 as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of South Carolina, where they worked on concept development and evaluation of multivariate optical computing technology. Olusola then joined Johnson & Johnson as a Senior Scientist in 2001.
In 2003, Soyemi joined the University of Massachusetts Medical School as a Research Assistant Professor, where they focused on the development of non-invasive spectroscopic tissue sensors for critical care medicine. Their responsibilities included application development, data analysis, and numerical modeling.
From 2007 to 2009, Soyemi worked at Zolo Technologies Inc., Boulder CO as a Staff Scientist/Spectroscopist. Here, they were involved in algorithm development for a NIR tunable diode laser spectroscopic sensor used for monitoring combustion in power plants and jet engines.
Since 2010, Soyemi has been with Authentix, a company specializing in authentication and track-and-trace solutions. Olusola started as a Principal Scientist and gradually progressed to the role of Senior Principal Data Scientist. Currently, they serve as the Senior Manager of Data Science.
Throughout their career, Soyemi has demonstrated expertise in data science, spectroscopy, algorithm development, and software development. Their experience spans across diverse industries including healthcare, technology, and authentication solutions.
Olusola Soyemi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Ibadan, where they studied from 1989 to 1992. After that, they pursued a PhD in Analytical Chemistry at Baylor University, completing their studies from 1994 to 1999. Olusola also obtained a Data Science Specialization certification from Coursera Course Certificates in October 2016.
