Bill Schafer has extensive work experience in the finance and accounting industry. Bill served as the Chief Financial Officer at Auswide Bank Ltd, where they developed tools and systems to provide financial and operational information to the CEO. Bill also prepared financial statements, managed external audits, and provided reports for regulatory compliance. Prior to that, Bill was a Partner at Peter Uhlmann and Company, where they provided accounting and tax advice to clients during the introduction of the new tax regime. Bill also worked as the General Manager at Bain Gasteen/Nicholsons Solicitors and held various roles at Kendalls Chartered Accountants, including Audit Manager and Admin Partner. Throughout their career, Bill handled a wide range of administrative, financial, and management tasks, including financial control, staff training and development, and company secretarial responsibilities.
Bill Schafer attended Gayndah State School from 1966 to 1972 for their primary education. Following that, they enrolled in Gayndah State High School from 1973 to 1977. Bill continued their education at The University of Queensland, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree with a focus on Accounting from 1978 to 1980.
