Jacqui Cowell is a seasoned arts and education professional with extensive experience in managing creative programs and initiatives. Currently serving as the Manager of Arts and Culture at Waverley Council since June 2024, Jacqui also holds the position of Head of Learning at the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) since February 2020, where responsibilities include producing arts and education projects such as the Intersection Festival and Theatre Flat-Pack. Previously, Jacqui worked as the Education Projects Manager at Sydney Theatre Company, overseeing student learning programs and hosting director interviews, and held the role of Program Manager for Schools at the Australian Film Television and Radio School, where Jacqui developed educational initiatives in film and media. Additionally, at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), Jacqui contributed significantly to the Schools and Youth program, enhancing course offerings and revenue. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Arts Management from the University of Technology Sydney and dual Bachelor's degrees in Arts and Education from the University of New South Wales.
