Dan Smith has extensive experience in technical leadership and project management, primarily with the Australian Federal Police since July 2006, where roles have included Team Leader for the Technical Capability Unit and Applied Technology Child Protection Operations, focusing on combating online child exploitation and enhancing police capabilities. Prior to this, Dan held various leadership positions at the Civil Aviation Safety Authority and was involved with data migration and application development, as well as serving as a Senior Analyst Programmer at Accenture and Arthur Andersen. With a background in programming and systems management that began in 1990, Dan possesses a strong foundation in business computing, underpinned by an Associate Diploma from Southern Cross University.
