Jess Rather is an experienced educator currently serving as an Elementary School Teacher at Austin Discovery School since August 2014, where the initial seven years were dedicated to the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Team, primarily focusing on tier 2 and 3 students and facilitating conflict resolution. Prior to this role, Jess worked as a Nanny Manager for various private families from March 1998 to July 2014, assisting busy professional parents with childcare and support during their travel commitments. Jess holds a Bachelor of Education in Interdisciplinary Studies k-8 from Western Governors University and is currently pursuing a degree in Literacy and Language, Curriculum and Instruction at Texas Tech University.
