Linnea Fletcher

Biotechnology Department Chair, & Director, Innovatebio National Biotechnology Education Center at Austin Community College District

Linnea Fletcher has extensive experience in biotechnology education and leadership. Currently serving as the Biotechnology Department Chair and Director of the InnovATEBIO National Biotechnology Education Center at Austin Community College since August 1999, Linnea oversees the department and coordinates national biotechnology programs, promotes high school pathways to college, supports industry engagement, and fosters undergraduate research in STEM. Prior to this role, Linnea worked as a Program Officer in the Division of Undergraduate Education at the National Science Foundation from August 2008 to August 2010. Linnea's educational background includes a Postdoctoral Position in Microbiology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, a PhD in Microbiology from The University of Texas at Austin, and multiple degrees in Biochemistry, Chemistry, and Biology from the University of California at Irvine.
