Weimin Deng has extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, currently serving as the Technical Director for Ground Engineering at Aurecon since March 2011. Prior to this role, Weimin held several positions at Atkins, including Regional Head of Geotechnics and Principal Engineer for Geotechnical/Tunnel from April 2003 to February 2011. Earlier experience includes a Senior Geotechnical Engineer position at Coffey Geosciences from May 1999 to March 2003, and a Research Assistant role at the University of Sydney from September 1996 to August 1999. Weimin began a career in geotechnical engineering at China Harbour Engineering Co. Ltd from July 1990 to September 1996, where positions included Geotechnical Engineer and Graduate Engineer. Academically, Weimin earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Sydney in 2000, following a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in the same field from Tongji University in 1990.
