John Boyd has a diverse work history in the field of audit and management. John started as an Audit Trainee at Scott-Moncrieff in 2006, and later became an Assistant Manager at KPMG UK in 2010. John then held the roles of Audit Manager at Scott-Moncrieff, Internal Audit Manager at Clydesdale Bank, and Senior Manager at EY and Grant Thornton LLP. Most recently, they served as a Director at Grant Thornton UK LLP before taking on the role of Audit Director at Audit Scotland in 2022.

John Boyd attended the University of Strathclyde from 2002 to 2006 where they obtained a BSc HONS degree in Mathematics, statistics, and finance.
