Ahcene Kessal has a range of experience in various roles and industries. Ahcene started their career as a Research Engineer at Cetim, working on a European project for integrated engineering systems. Ahcene then moved on to Telstra, where they worked as a Software Engineer and later took responsibility for a legacy voice server farm. After that, they worked at Open Telecommunications as a Team Leader, developing signalling subsystems for telecommunication switches. Ahcene then joined Dilithium Networks as a Senior Software Engineer, later transitioning to Interim Engineering Manager and eventually becoming the Director of Engineering. At Seeker Wireless, they served as a Senior Manager of Software Development. Following this, they worked at Psychwire Australia Pty Ltd as a Solution Delivery Consultant, leading a team to design and build a video training site. Ahcene then joined TouchStar Group as an Applications Development Manager, overseeing their software function restructure. Currently, Ahcene holds the position of Director of Product Delivery at Audinate. In addition to their professional experience, they also founded SpatiumXL, a company focused on workforce management solutions leveraging technology advances and cloud computing.

Ahcene Kessal obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Université des Sciences et de la Technologie d'Oran in 1991. Ahcene then pursued an Associate's Degree Diploma in Applied Mechanics at Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC) from 1991 to 1992. Ahcene further pursued a PhD in Structural analysis and optimisation of mechanical structures at Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC) from 1992 to 1997.
