Wolfgang Kotauschek is an experienced automotive engineering professional specializing in internal combustion engines and thermodynamics. Currently serving as the Head of Development Testing and Reliability for the Audi F1 Project at Audi Formula Racing GmbH since January 2023, Wolfgang Kotauschek leads initiatives in performance, thermodynamics, calibration, mechanics, and failure analysis. Prior roles include Head of Development Thermodynamics and Calibration at Audi Sport GmbH from January 2020 to December 2022, and various leadership positions at AUDI AG from January 2004 to December 2019, encompassing engine basic development, thermodynamics, calibration, and support for racetrack activities. Wolfgang Kotauschek holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Verbrennungsmotoren from RWTH Aachen University.
