Myles Lind serves as the Chief Engineer at Auckland Transport since December 2019, also taking on the role of Acting General Manager Engineering and Design. With extensive experience in asset management, Myles leads a team responsible for the strategic management of Auckland Transport's $26 billion infrastructure portfolio. Myles has held various prominent positions including Group Manager Chief Engineer & Asset Management (Acting) and head of initiatives such as Auckland Light Rail and City Rail Safety. Additionally, Myles is active in multiple advisory roles, currently as a Board Member of the New Zealand Utilities Advisory Group and a Lead Competence Assessor for Engineering New Zealand. Previous roles include Non-Executive Director and President at IPWEA, Manager of Asset Planning at Queenstown Lakes District Council, and significant involvement in governance and risk management initiatives. Myles holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury and numerous professional development qualifications in governance and management.
