Rodney Cockerham has worked primarily at Atwood Oceanics, starting in 1994. Rodney held various roles, including Chief Mechanic and eventually Chief Rig Mechanic. Rodney was laid off briefly in 1994 but returned to Atwood Oceanics shortly after.

Rodney Cockerham attended James Adams High School but did not obtain a degree.
