Sogol Hekmatfar is an experienced project management professional currently serving as Associate Director of Project Management at Attovia Therapeutics since October 2024. Previously, Sogol held the position of Associate Director of Program Management at Metagenomi from June 2023 to October 2024 and Senior Manager of CMC Project Management at Assembly Biosciences, Inc. from August 2021 to June 2023. Other roles include Project Manager at Novartis Gene Therapies and AveXis, Inc., where Sogol also worked as a Senior BioProcess Engineer and BioProcess Engineer. Earlier career experiences include a Process Engineer at Teva Pharmaceuticals, multiple academic roles at the University at Buffalo and Illinois Institute of Technology, and a Process Engineering Intern at Nargan Engineers and Constructors. Sogol Hekmatfar holds two Master of Science degrees in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University at Buffalo and the Illinois Institute of Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
