Esther Bogaart is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in various roles within the Attorney-General's Department and the Office for Women, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Currently serving as the First Assistant Secretary for the First Nations and Justice Policy Division, Esther has held multiple significant positions, including Acting First Assistant Secretary in the Families and Legal System Division and Assistant Secretary in the Fraud Prevention and Anti-Corruption Branch. Previous roles encompass leadership in family safety and legal assistance initiatives, as well as contributions to the negotiation of the National Partnership Agreement on Legal Assistance Services. Esther's earlier career includes managing intercountry adoption programs and developing legal frameworks for marriage celebrants. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Canberra and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The Australian National University.
