Shafqat Suri has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Shafqat started their career at British American Tobacco - Pakistan, where they held positions as a Business Analyst and later as a Communications Development Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for coordinating with different business units, managing marketing-IT projects, and leading the implementation of consumer relationship management frameworks.
Following their time at British American Tobacco, Shafqat worked at Reckitt Benckiser, taking on roles such as Global IS Solutions Manager, Head of IT in South Africa, and Head of IT in Pakistan. During their time at Reckitt Benckiser, they implemented IT strategies, managed budgets, and oversaw project deliverables, contributing to overall business value creation.
Shafqat then joined the Government of the Northwest Territories as a Project Manager before moving to Henkel as a Business Systems Manager. At Henkel, they were responsible for developing and managing the IT organization and budgets, as well as reducing ERP costs through optimization and migration to cloud-based hosting services.
After their tenure at Henkel, Shafqat joined Takeda Canada Inc. as an IT Business Partner, where they served as the Head of IT and collaborated with business partners to align IT strategies with business objectives.
Most recently, they joined Kinark Child and Family Services as the Director of IT, responsible for overseeing IT operations.
Currently, Shafqat is serving as the Director of IT, Strategy & Digital Transformation at ATS Corporation, where they lead IT strategy and digital transformation efforts.
Shafqat Suri received a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Management Information Systems (MIS) from the Institute of Business Administration. Shafqat also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the same institution, specializing in Management Information Systems. Additionally, they completed a Business Consultancy program at IMD (International Institute of Management Development) and earned a certification in Strategic Management of Enterprise IT from the University of Toronto. Shafqat also holds a certification as a Professional Scrum Master from Scrum.org.
