Markku Hirvijärvi

Senior Vice President at Atria

Markku Hirvijärvi has a diverse work experience in the food industry, primarily with Atria Plc. Markku started their career with Atria Finland Oy in 1995, where they held various roles such as deboner, butcher, supervisor, and production manager until 2011. Markku then joined Atria Suomi as the Export and Production Director from October 2011 to May 2013, and subsequently as the Director of Meat Product Operations from May 2013 to January 2014. In 2014, they moved on to Atria Plc and served as the Senior Vice President for Production, R&D, and Quality from February 2014 to December 2016. Markku then took on the role of Senior Vice President for Industrial Operations in Atria Finland and Commercial Operations in China from January 2017 onwards. Finally, from January 2018, they also assumed the position of Senior Vice President within the company.

Markku Hirvijärvi completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at the University of Jyväskylä from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, from 1997 to 1999, they attended Seinäjoen Ammattikorkeakoulu and earned a degree in elintarvike, työteknikko. No specific field of study was mentioned for either of their degrees.
