Xiaomu Chen has a diverse and extensive work experience. Xiaomu started their career as a Research Associate/ QC Associate at Aviron in 1997, where they contributed to the optimization and qualification of FluMist live influenza vaccine potency assays. At MedImmune Vaccines, Xiaomu held various roles over the course of 12 years, including Associate Scientist II and Associate Scientist 1. In these roles, they played a key role in the development, qualification, and implementation of PCR assays for residual DNA, quantification of influenza virus particles, and detection of mycoplasma. Xiaomu also contributed to the study of rapid clearance of intranasally administered DNA and the assessment of residual host-cell DNA size in influenza virus vaccine candidates.
