Jojo Liang's work experience includes a role as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Atomic Machines starting in February 2023. Prior to that, Jojo worked at Mytra as a Mechanical Design Engineer from October to December 2022. Jojo also served as the Mechanical Team Lead and Autonomy System Lead at Cornell Electric Vehicles from September 2020 to December 2022, overseeing the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical systems for autonomous and manual operation.

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Rani Therapeutics from June to August 2022, Jojo gained experience in the field. Jojo also worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Tesla from June to December 2021, contributing to the mechanical design of the Model S Plaid and Cybertruck batteries and collaborating with various engineering teams.

In terms of academic research, Jojo was a Student Researcher at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign - Robotics, Automation, and Dance Lab from June to August 2020, focusing on parameterizing and tracking human posture in digital classrooms. Additionally, Jojo was a Dynamics and Controls Student Researcher and a Technical Mentor at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. This involved investigating load bearing quadcopters and mentoring high school students in engineering problem-solving in the STEM Saturday Program.

Jojo Liang attended Troy High School from 2014 to 2018. After completing high school, they enrolled at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art from 2018 to 2020, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following that, Jojo Liang went on to study at Cornell University from 2020 to 2022, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
