Alexander Van der Bellen is an experienced legal professional specializing in international and regulatory affairs within the aviation sector. Currently serving as Senior International and Regulatory Affairs Counsel at Atlas Air since February 2023, Alexander leads Washington legal efforts on various international matters. Prior roles include Senior Counsel at the Air Line Pilots Association, where Alexander advocated for pilots' interests in joint ventures and contract negotiations, and Principal at Aviation Solutions, providing consultancy on legal issues related to airlines and airports. Previous positions also encompass Managing Director roles at Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines, as well as litigation counsel at Hogan & Hartson and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. Alexander holds a J.D., cum laude, from Tulane University Law School and an A.B. in Political Science and Economics from Hamilton College.
