Shervin James

Executive Director Of Banquet Operations at Atlantis Bahamas

Shervin James has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry, primarily in banquet operations. Shervin started their career in 1983 as an Inroom Dining Server at Cable Beach Resorts and gradually worked their way up to Assistant Receiving Manager. In 1987, they joined Carnival Crystal Palace Resort & Casino as the Inroom Dining Manager. In 1991, they moved to Marriott Crystal Palace Resort & Casino as a Sr. Banquet Manager. From 1996 to 1999, they worked as a Restaurant Manager at One&Only Resorts Ocean Club. In 1999, they joined Atlantis Resorts/Brookfield and held various positions including Assistant Banquet Manager, Banquet Manager, Associate Director Banquet Operations, and Director of Banquet Operations. Shervin'smost recent role was as the Executive Director of Banquet Operations at Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas, starting in 2016.

Shervin James has pursued education in the field of Food and Beverage Management. Shervin has obtained certifications such as Financial Certification Module 1-5 from Atlantis University in 2017 and ServSafe from the National Restaurant Association in February 2016. Additionally, they have unspecified certifications in Food & Beverage Management and Food & Beverage Sanitation.
