Luis A Sandino is a Systems Engineer at Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure Plc since August 2019, leading IT projects for the Solana and Mojave power plants, previously serving as a DCS Technician responsible for control and communications. Prior experience includes roles at Abengoa as a DCS Technician and Health and Safety Technician, where improvements to the Walk and Talk program and VBA Excel applications were implemented. Luis held a Research Scientist position at Universidad de Sevilla, developing algorithms for unmanned helicopters, and has teaching experience in computer architecture and control systems. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Robotics, an M.Sc. in Control Systems Engineering, and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering, all from Universidad de Sevilla.
