Alison Beatty

Artistic Director of Atlantic for Kids at ATLANTIC THEATER COMPANY

Alison Beatty is the current Artistic Director of Atlantic for Kids at the Atlantic Theater Company. Alison has previously worked as a Ballet Instructor at Minimasters, a Guest Theater Director, Choreographer, and Teaching Artist at the Brotherhood Synagogue of Gramercy Park, and a Director and Choreographer for theater.

Beatty began their training in ballet at a young age and continued to study dance throughout their college years. After graduating from college, they started their professional career as a ballet instructor at Minimasters. Alison then transitioned into working with theater, first as a guest director and choreographer at the Brotherhood Synagogue of Gramercy Park and then as a director and choreographer for theater.

Beatty has been with the Atlantic Theater Company since 2010, first as a part of the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School and then as the Artistic Director of Atlantic for Kids. In their current position, they oversee all aspects of the Atlantic for Kids program, which provides high-quality theater experiences for young audiences ages 4-18.

Alison Beatty's educational career includes a Master of Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in Psychological Counseling, a Master of Arts from Hunter College in Psychology, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts in Drama with an emphasis on Producing for Theater, Film, and Television. Alison also has certification from the Fashion Institute of Technology, NY in Certificate in Computer Training- Design (Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, Adobe InDesign) and certification from Power Pilates Method Teacher Training Center, NY in Beginner Mat Certification; qualified to teach beginner Pilates mat classes.

Their manager is Mary McCann, Atlantic Acting School Executive Director. Some of their coworkers include Lorielle Mallue - Director of Conservatory Training & Academic Affairs, Andrew Rodriguez - Coordinator of Student Affairs, Conservatory, and Reggie D. White - Artistic Director of Student Productions.
