Arjun Balaraman is an experienced analytics professional currently serving as the Head of Analytics at Atlanta United FC since July 2021, following a role as a Data Scientist. Previous experience includes a Basketball Analytics Internship with the Sacramento Kings and a Technical Data Analysis Internship at Nashville Soccer Club. Arjun has also contributed as a staff writer for SB Nation, covering the Boston Celtics, and has written data-driven articles for Nylon Calculus and American Soccer Analysis. With a background in various analytical roles, Arjun has utilized R for data visualization and analysis in sports contexts. Arjun holds a Bachelor of Arts in Quantitative Economics from Tufts University and graduated from The Lawrenceville School.
