Leanne Cowie is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management and geoscience. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at Atkins since September 2018, Leanne has also taken on roles as Project Manager and Graduate Project Manager within the same company. In addition, Leanne has held a secondment as Project Manager with EDF (UK) since May 2022 and previously coordinated nuclear efforts for COP26 at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). A former Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oslo, Leanne's research focused on tectonic and depositional modeling in the northern Barents Sea. Earlier experience includes roles as a Research Geophysicist at Badley Geoscience Ltd and academic positions at the University of Liverpool. Leanne holds a PhD in Geodynamics and a master's degree in Geophysics from the University of Liverpool.
