Bela Labovitch is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and software development. As Vice President of Engineering at athenahealth since 2017, Bela manages a globally distributed team of over 500 engineers, overseeing a $60M budget and enhancing product offerings through automation and machine learning. Previous roles include Senior Director of Technology at inVentiv Health - Adheris Inc., where Bela directed the development of key adherence platforms, and Director of Software Engineering at LogixHealth, responsible for establishing Agile practices and product development standards. Bela’s early career includes significant positions such as Vice President of Engineering at MedMinder Systems Inc. and CTO at Newsilike Media Group Inc., contributing to innovative product launches and architectural advancements. Bela holds a BA and MS in Computer Science from Brandeis University and Northeastern University, respectively, and is currently pursuing Executive Education at Harvard Business School.
