Daniel Bowens II

Director of Operations at Async-Nu Microsystems

Daniel Bowens II has worked in the professional field since 2006. Daniel began their career at Verizon as a FTTP Local Construction Manager (Industrial Engineer). In 2008, they joined Async-Nu Microsystems Inc. as an IT Specialist, where they organized, prepared and conducted complex Information Systems training and educational programs for Units throughout the United States Coast Guard. In 2012, they were promoted to Director of Operations at Async-Nu Microsystems Inc., where they were responsible for all contracts and business development. Daniel also analyzed operational and project requests, allocating resources accordingly to ensure capacity was maximized, priorities were balanced, and team was utilized most efficiently. Additionally, they were a Project Manager (Contractor) for the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (Dept. of State), Public Affairs and Strategic Communications Office (PASC). In this role, they managed a team of Web Developers, Web Producers, Social Media Managers, Videographers/Photographers, and a Graphic Designer. Daniel was also responsible for monitoring team member's hours, approving vacations, creating monthly invoices for services provided by Async-Nu Microsystems, working with the COR to create and execute contract modifications, and daily management of website hosting subcontractor.

Daniel Bowens II received a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech between 2000 and 2006. Daniel has also obtained several certifications, including Working with Difficult People from LinkedIn in January 2022, How Blockchains Will Change Business from LinkedIn in October 2021, Configure and Manage SharePoint Online from LinkedIn in April 2021, Microsoft Project 2019 and Project Online Desktop Essential Training from LinkedIn in August 2020, and a PMP from the Project Management Institute.
