Carl Capellas holds a diverse professional background in soccer coaching and education, currently serving as the Director of Soccer North - South America at AstroTurf since 2017 and as a coach at Western Reserve Academy for the Black Rock FC WRA since August 2018. Previous experience includes roles as the Director of Sports and Education Academy & Soccer Sales at ProGrass LLC (2014-2016), Assistant Men's Soccer Coach at The University of Akron (2013-2014), and Men's Soccer Coach at Hiram College (2004-2013). Prior to transitioning to sports, Carl Capellas was an Audit Manager at the Auditor of State of Ohio from 2000 to 2004. Carl Capellas earned a Master's Degree in Political Science - Public Administration and holds two Bachelor's Degrees in Spanish and Iberian Studies, and Political Science and Government from Marshall University, along with completing a summer semester in Spanish and Iberian Studies at Universidad Nebrija.
