Mitchell Yothers

Perception Software Engineer at Astrobotic Technology

Mitchell Yothers has a diverse work experience in various roles. Mitchell started their career as a Senior Teaching Assistant at Oklahoma University, where they assisted professors in delivering physics courses and labs. During this time, they also conducted regression analysis and developed image correction software using MATLAB. Later on, they worked as a Scientist at Nokomis, Inc., where they designed algorithms to improve OCR output accuracy and developed search algorithms for low-power modulation-like features in radio frequency spectra. Mitchell also contributed to software development using Octave, Python, C++, and C#. Mitchell then joined IAM Robotics as a Perception Engineer, where they worked on projects related to manual extrinsic calibration, data handling improvement, and sensor fusion implementation. Currently, they are employed at Astrobotic as a Perception Software Engineer.

Mitchell Yothers has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Experimental Physics from the University of Oklahoma. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics from Saint Vincent College.
