Tim Nieuwenhuis is a computational biologist with notable experience in both academic and industry settings. At Immunitas Therapeutics, Tim developed two internal R packages that improved computational biology workflows, focusing on the standardization of single-cell RNA-seq data analysis. As a graduate student at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Tim contributed to significant projects, including the identification of contamination in the GTEx database. Previous roles include research assistant at Dickinson College, where Tim worked on wild yeast categorization, as well as tutoring and educational leadership in various capacities. Tim holds a PhD in Human Genetics from Johns Hopkins University and a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Dickinson College.
