Stephen Bonner is a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at AstraZeneca, specializing in the discovery of novel drug targets using knowledge graphs and graph-based machine learning. Previously, Stephen served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow focused on machine learning and knowledge graphs, and held roles as a Visiting Researcher and Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Newcastle University, applying machine learning methods in the cybersecurity domain. Other experiences include research positions at VLTN BVBA and gliff.ai, as well as a project with Procter & Gamble on counterfeit product identification. Stephen's early career included internships at Criteo, leading to publications in reinforcement learning and causal methods for recommendation systems, and teaching roles at Durham University. Stephen holds a PhD in Machine Learning and Graph Mining from Durham University and advanced degrees from the University of Huddersfield.
