Javier Galarza Hernández is an experienced data professional currently serving as Associate Director and DataOps and Data Observability Lead at AstraZeneca since July 2024. Prior to this role, Javier was a Principal Data Engineer at Schneider Electric from June 2023 to July 2024, and held positions at Skyscanner as a Senior Data Engineer and Data Engineer II from May 2021 to June 2023. Javier's earlier experience includes a Data Engineer role at Huawei Technologies Research & Development (UK) and positions at NTT DATA Europe & LATAM, where contributions included working within the Santander Technology Capital Reporting team and the Banc Sabadell Big Data team. Jillian began a career as a Back-end Cobol Developer at TSB. Javier holds a Master of Science in Mathematical Research and a Master's degree in Big Data Analytics from Universitat Politècnica de València, along with a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the same institution. Additional education includes a period of study at Aalto University under the Erasmus+ Grant focusing on Communication Ecosystems.
