Arif Jiva is an experienced engineering manager with a strong background in chemical engineering. Currently serving as an Engineering Manager at AstraZeneca since April 2020, Arif oversees the internal manufacture of Drug Substance for formulation development and clinical studies, focusing on asset care and improvement within a Lower Tier COMAH site. Prior to this role, Arif was the Site Engineering Manager at Libra Specialty Chemicals Ltd, where leadership of the engineering team and successful commissioning of a £2M production facility were key achievements. Earlier positions include Process Engineer at GHD Livigunn and Jacobs, as well as a Process Engineering Intern at Libra Specialty Chemicals Ltd, where Arif contributed to various engineering projects and process optimizations. Arif holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Chemical Engineering with Energy and Environment from The University of Manchester.
