Anindita Sengupta is a highly experienced scientist currently serving as a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca since September 2023. Prior to this role, Anindita held positions as Lead Scientist and Senior Scientist at Sygnature Discovery from April 2019 to September 2023. Anindita also contributed as a Research Assistant at the University of Oxford and as a Post Doctoral Researcher at The Ohio State University, focusing on the biochemical characterization of enzymes related to Fructose-Asparagine metabolism in Salmonella. Previous experience includes a role as Research Associate at ICRISAT, studying plant-pathogen interactions, and a PhD program at Bose Institute, investigating the interactions between Bacillus thuringiensis Cry proteins and their receptors in Helicoverpa armigera. Anindita completed a Master of Science in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology at the University of Calcutta and obtained a PhD in Biochemistry from the same institution, along with postdoctoral studies at The Ohio State University.
