Philip Crawley has a diverse background in the field of sports science and conditioning. Philip currently holds the position of Lead FDP/YDP Sport Scientist at Aston Villa Football Club since August 2022. Prior to that, they were Assistant FDP/YDP Sport Scientist at the same club from January 2022 to August 2022.
Before joining Aston Villa, Philip worked at Burton Albion Football Club, where they served as the First Team Sports Scientist from September 2021 to January 2022. Philip also worked as the Academy S&C Coach at Burton Albion from August 2019 to September 2021.
In addition to their roles in football clubs, Philip has experience in education as well. Philip worked as a Strength and Conditioning Lecturer at Burton and South Derbyshire College from September 2020 to June 2021.
Philip's career in sports science started with an internship at Stoke City Football Club, where they served as an Academy Sports Science Intern from June 2018 to May 2019.
Philip Crawley attended Loughborough University from 2016 to 2020, where they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Sport and Exercise Science. Philip then pursued a Master of Science degree in Strength and Conditioning at Loughborough University from 2020 to 2022.
