Guy Rippon has a diverse work experience in the field of sports and community development. Guy started their career as a Neighbourhood Leisure Officer at Coventry City Council in 2002. Guy then worked as the Sport and Recreation Manager at Rugby Borough Council from 2005 to 2008. Rippon then joined the Football Foundation as a Community Programme Manager, where they managed funding for grassroots sports facilities. In 2010, they became the Regional Community Manager (Midlands) at The Football League Trust. Rippon then moved on to become the Director of Sky Blues in the Community, affiliated with Coventry City FC, from 2011 to 2016. Currently, they hold the role of Head of Foundation and Community Partnerships at Aston Villa Football Club, a position they have held since September 2016.
Guy Rippon completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Aston University from 2020 to 2023. Prior to this, they studied Sport and Recreation at Farnborough College of Technology from 1994 to 1996.
