Melissa Touma has a diverse work experience. Melissa began their career as a Research Assistant at the Center for Health, Intervention, and Prevention in 2012. Melissa then worked as a Medical Secretary at Children's Eye Care, PC in Farmington, CT from October 2012 to October 2014. In October 2014, they joined the CT Department of Public Health as an Accreditation Coordinator until November 2020. Most recently, they have been working at the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials since November 2020. Melissa started as a Senior Analyst in Public Health Systems and Improvement and is currently serving as the Director of the Public Health Infrastructure Program.
Melissa Touma holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from The University of Connecticut Health Center, obtained between 2012 and 2014. In 2010 and 2011, Melissa pursued coursework in Middle Eastern Studies at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle.
