Geoff Durno has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Geoff began their career at E.F. Hutton & Company as an Associate and participated in the Principal Training Program. Geoff then joined Shearson Lehman Hutton as an Associate before moving to Financial Security Assurance in 1988. At Financial Security Assurance, they held various roles including Vice President and Managing Director in the Asset Backed Group, where they were responsible for underwriting and structuring non-standard asset-backed transactions. Geoff also played a key role in developing business in Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Rim, originating mortgage securitizations and infrastructure transactions. Durno later became the Managing Director at Financial Security Assurance, Singapore Branch, where they oversaw underwriting and structuring activities in Tokyo, Singapore, and Sydney. Geoff then served as Managing Director at Financial Security Assurance (U.K.), where they led a team responsible for credit underwriting and execution of asset-backed finance in Europe and Australia. Finally, Durno joined Assured Guaranty as a Managing Director, overseeing credit risk management for significant portfolios and managing teams in New York, London, and Sydney. Throughout their career, they have consistently demonstrated success in risk management, underwriting, and transaction execution.

Geoff Durno completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at Dartmouth College from 1979 to 1983. Geoff then pursued their Master of Business Administration degree in Finance at NYU Stern School of Business from 1983 to 1986.
