Larry Nisenson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Larry is currently serving as the Chief Growth Officer at Assured Allies since July 2021. Prior to this, they were an Advisory Board Member at Rutgers University - Rutgers Design Thinking from March 2017 onwards.
From August 2017 to May 2021, Larry worked at Genworth as the SVP/Chief Commercial Officer - U.S. Life, where they were responsible for driving sales, marketing, operations, analytics, and product development. During their tenure, they successfully created a direct-to-consumer ecosystem, launched a new caregiving offering, and brought five new products to the market.
Before joining Genworth, Larry held the position of President at High Point Insurance Companies, a division of Plymouth Rock Assurance New Jersey. Larry oversaw overall division profitability, growth, and relationships, achieving a net profit of $60M and managing $500M of premium with annual sales of $20M in P&C sales.
As a Senior Vice President at AXA Equitable from April 2012 to August 2013, Larry led the business development function, focusing on designing and bringing new opportunities to market. Notably, they successfully piloted a direct wholesaling model in collaboration with financial institutions, which was later incorporated into AXA's existing distribution.
From June 2008 to December 2011, Larry served as the Senior Vice President - National Sales Manager at American General. In this role, they led a team of 50 sales and support professionals, overseeing sales, account relationships, and new business development. Larry'sresponsibilities included setting strategy, P&L leadership, talent management, maintaining and growing accounts, expanding business opportunities, and driving product development initiatives.
Prior to their role at American General, Larry held senior leadership positions at Allstate and HSBC Securities. At Allstate, from August 2000 to June 2008, they were the Senior Vice President - Eastern Divisional Manager, responsible for managing a team of 12 wholesalers and driving sales goals. At HSBC Securities, from May 1998 to August 2000, they served as a Senior Financial Advisor.
Larry began their career in the financial industry at OppenheimerFunds as an Internal Wholesaler from 1996 to 1998, and earlier as a Broker at Prime Charter in 1995.
Larry Nisenson pursued their education at Rutgers University from 1984 to 1988, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science. Larry furthered their education by attending The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth from 2018 to 2019, completing the Global Executive Leadership Program.
