Yingying Kang currently serves as the Director of AI & Data Science at Assurant, where leadership encompasses a team dedicated to exploring innovative AI and Data Science technologies to enhance data-driven solutions in the InsurTech sector. Prior to this role, Yingying held significant positions at Travelport, contributing as Principal ML/DL Research Scientist and Director of Data Science, focusing on the integration of AI technologies to improve search and distribution capabilities in the airline and hospitality industries. Yingying's career also includes impactful roles at Southwest Airlines, Sabre Airline Solutions, JDA Software, Norfolk Southern, and the University at Buffalo, where expertise in operations research, predictive analytics, and AI applications has been demonstrated. Yingying earned a Ph.D. in Operations Research from the University at Buffalo and a Master's degree in Systems Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
