Tom Peters is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various industries. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Finance for Global Sourcing & Facilities at Assurant since November 2016, Tom oversees Global Procurement and Global Real Estate, Facility Management, and Security functions in 21 countries, managing a total of over 185 FTEs. Prior to this role, Tom held the position of VP - Head of Finance Shared Service Center at Nationwide Insurance from February 2005 to June 2012, where responsibilities included leading a core controllership team and collaborating with a third-party accounting provider. Tom began their career at Capital One as Director of Finance from 1997 to 2005. Educational credentials include a B.S. in Accounting from Penn State University and an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the University of Richmond.
