Ed Stern has extensive experience in public service, currently serving as Mayor Pro Tem and Councilmember for the City of Poulsbo since 1997, with a focus on policy, priorities, and budget establishment, as well as acting as a liaison to the Suquamish Tribe. Stern holds several positions of influence, including Chair of the Broadband Committee on the State of Washington's Public Works Board, a member of the Puget Sound Regional Council's Executive Committee, and participation on the Kitsap Economic Development Alliance Board. Additional roles include serving on the Kitsap Transit Board of Commissioners, the Ecosystem Coordination Board for the Puget Sound Partnership, and previously on the Board of Directors for the Municipal Research and Services Center. Stern's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Provisional Teaching Certificate from Montana State University-Bozeman.
