Setthasorn Zhi Yang Ooi is currently serving as a Foundation Doctor at Swansea Bay University Health Board, involved in rotations across Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery, Psychiatry, Endocrinology, Emergency Medicine, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Plastic Surgery. In addition to this role, Setthasorn holds various leadership positions including Social Media Officer for the Association of Surgeons in Training, President of the Wales Foundation Trainee Surgical Society, and past Chair of the Neurology and Neurosurgery Interest Group. Setthasorn has participated in significant elective experiences in Plastic Surgery at the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo and Neurosurgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Cardiff University and ongoing postgraduate professional development in Surgical Writing and Evidence-Based Practice at The University of Edinburgh.
