Glenn "Powder" Carlson has a diverse and extensive work experience. Glenn "Powder" is currently employed as a Technical Director at Elbit Systems of America since January 2023. Prior to this, they held notable roles at different organizations, including BAE Systems and MacAulay Brown. At BAE Systems, they served as a Senior Principal Systems Engineer III and EA Capabilities Group Lead from February 2015 to January 2023. At MacAulay Brown, they worked as a Senior Systems Analyst from July 2007 to February 2015.

Furthermore, Carlson has a long-standing association with the Association of Old Crows (AOC). Glenn "Powder" held the position of President, AOC International from December 2020 to October 2022 and Past President, AOC International before that. Glenn "Powder" is currently serving as the Northeast Regional Director, as well as assuming various other roles within the organization such as Secretary on the Executive Committee, Awards Committee, and Membership Committee. Glenn "Powder" has also been involved in local Granite State Roost, serving as the Awards Chair and previously as the Vice President. Carlson has contributed significantly to the AOC, including serving as the primary author for the AOC Every Crow Workbook.

Before transitioning into the private sector, Carlson had an accomplished career in the United States Air Force (USAF). Their roles in the USAF include Chief AEA Branch at ACC/A8I, EA Capabilities Group Lead at 2BW, Course Director at ACSC, Chief of B-52 EW Reprogramming at 513 ETS, and Instructor/Evaluator EW at 93BW. Glenn "Powder" began their military career as a Student Flight Trainee and went on to serve as a Navigator, Electronic Warfare Officer, and Instructor EWO.

Glenn "Powder" Carlson obtained their highest level of education from the Air War College, where they earned a diploma in Military Strategic Studies, General in the year 2001. Prior to that, they also received a diploma in the same field from the USAF Air Command and Staff College in 1998. In 1993, Glenn earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Their undergraduate education took place from 1980 to 1984 at Norwich University, where they received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering. Glenn's academic journey began at Greenfield High School, where they obtained their high school diploma in 1980.
