Rajeev Tyagi has over 25 years of work experience in the field of Information and Communications Technology. Rajeev'smost recent position was at National Informatics Center as a Senior Technical Director / Scientist F since December 2016. Prior to that, they held various roles within National Informatics Center, including Senior Technical Director / Scientist F from July 2015 to October 2016, Technical Director / Scientist E from June 2010 to June 2015, and Principal System Analyst / Scientist D from June 2005 to May 2010. Rajeev also worked at National Informatics Centre - India as a Senior System Analyst/ Scientist C from January 2001 to May 2005, and as a System Analyst/ Scientist B from January 1998 to December 2000. Rajeev started their career at National Informatics Centre as a District Informatics Officer, Azamgarh from February 1994 to September 1997.

Rajeev Tyagi completed their High School education from UP Board, Allahabad, focusing on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from 1981 to 1983. Rajeev then pursued their Intermediate studies in the same subjects from UP Board, Allahabad, from 1983 to 1985. Rajeev continued their education at Meerut University, Meerut, where they obtained a BSc degree in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from 1985 to 1987. Lastly, they attended Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College, Allahabad, from 1988 to 1991, earning a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree in the field of Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management.
