Chris Barrett has diverse work experience in the software industry. Chris is currently working as a Principal Software Architect at Assent Compliance Inc since 2020. Before that, they worked as the Chief Software Architect at Saba Software from 2016 to 2020 and as an Application Architect at Halogen Software from 2010 to 2016. Chris also worked as a Software Development Project Leader at Xandros Corporation from 2007 to 2010 and as a Senior Software Developer & Architect at FreeBalance in 2006. Prior to this, they held various positions at Mxi Technologies from 2000 to 2006, including Senior Software Architect and Team Leader. Chris started their career as a Software Developer at Thomson-CSF Systems Canada in 1996 and later worked as a Technical Specialist at CAE in 1994.

Chris Barrett attended Queen's University from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Computing and Information Science. Chris then pursued further education at Queen's University from 1995 to 1996, completing a B. Ed. degree in Education.
